The main aim of Euskal Árido is to represent, manage and defend the interests of the aggregate extraction industry in its relations with society, public and private sector organisations and, in particular, the public authorities of the Basque Country.

To that end, Euskal Árido seeks to make the presence of the industry felt by the public authorities by establishing mechanisms for smooth, ongoing dialogue with those administrations which hold authority over extraction and quarrying activities.

Euskal Árido seeks to consolidate the presence of the Basque aggregates industry in various professional organisations at national and international levels by joining national sectoral organisations and ensuring ongoing dialogue with other sectoral associations at regional level.

Euskal Árido also seeks to help improve the image of the industry by taking action to convince society of the strategic importance of extraction and quarrying and of the industry's commitment to operate fully in accordance with environmental values.
